Winning Healthcare as a Human Right

Dustin Guastella, part of the leadership of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the largest socialist organization in the United States, talks about Medicare for All, what it is and what it will take to finally win it. The aim is to create a single healthcare system that is free at the point of service: with no premiums, no co-pays, and no deductibles for all medical services. Winning will require an unprecedented level of mobilization and organization. DSA has prioritized building the mass constituency for Medicare for All into an active, organized, and powerful political bloc. He is joined by Mary Gerisch, a leader of Vermont Rights & Democracy who deconstructs the myths that single-payer healthcare failed in Vermont.
